Our school is situated in the Newtown area Of Exeter, a short walk from the city, it’s Cathedral, theatres, museums and library. Close local amenities include shops, pubs, Belmont Park, sports centre, swimming pool, hospital and police station, all of which provide opportunities for supporting the school curriculum.

Newtown School’s history spans over 125 MAP years and our buildings have many original and beautiful features. We are proud of it’s past but nevertheless appreciate that modern conveniences such as warmth, light, fresh paint and up to the minute plumbing need to exist to keep us comfortably in the present.

As we are completely surrounded by wall or fence, we provide a safe and secure environment. It is difficult at first glance to appreciate the extent of our school site. Such are the peculiarities of the school that we are fortunate to have two halls, two playgrounds and, despite it’s city setting, a garden area and school field.
