Welcome to Robin Class!

Welcome to Robins Class! Our class teacher is Mrs. Moore and our teaching assistants are Ms. White and Mia Hansford. Mrs Sinclair covers PPA every Thursday afternoon. 

In our class we enjoy learning through play, using our indoor and outdoor classrooms. We also learn through activities led by the adults in our class, who help us to develop skills that we can later use on our own. 

P.E - Our P.E lessons are on a Tuesday and Thursday. Please ensure your child has the correct P.E kit in school at all times which is clearly labelled. On Thursday, our P.E session will be run by Exeter City Football Club. 

Forest School - Forest School sessions will take place every Tuesday afternoon in the second half of the autumn, spring and summer terms. Please ensure your child has a pair of wellies and a waterproof coat. 

Snack - A healthy snack is provided each day but we are happy if you would like to provide your child with an extra snack to have in the afternoon. Fruit or vegetables only!

Water bottles - We encourage the children to drink regularly throughout the day. Please ensure that your child has a water bottle in school every day which is filled with water only. 

Reading - Your child will bring home three books a week. Two of these will be phonics books which they will be able to read independently and one library book which you will read to your child. You are expected to read with your child everyday. We will hear your child read daily in our Read, Write Inc. Phonics lessons. When your child brings home a new book, they will need to read it a minimum of three times. Please sign your child's reading record each time you hear them read. 

Library books - Please could all library books be returned every Monday. We cannot issue your child with a new book unless their current one has been returned. 

School Lunches:

School lunches can be ordered daily in class and are free to all children in Robins. I would recommend going through the lunch options with your Robin each week to ensure they are happy with the available choices.

Communication:

This year, we will communicate with parents and carers via class Dojo. Here, we will post regular updates about our learning in class, as well as other important information. You also have the option to contact us directly via the private messaging tool, but please note that we will likely only respond during school hours.
